Nestled on the slopes of the Koolau mountain range in Central Oahu, Koa Ridge will be Castle and Cooke’s next master-planned community. Embracing the principles of Smart Growth and sustainability, Koa Ridge will be a community of tomorrow, providing for the housing, social and economic needs of Hawaii residents, while respecting and protecting precious environmental resources.

There are plans for two communities within Koa Ridge, Castle & Cooke Waiawa and Koa Ridge Makai. The Castle & Cooke Waiawa community, located east of the H-2 Freeway and east of the Waipio Interchange, is expected to integrate 1,500 single- and multi-family homes, parks, open space, and civic and recreational facilities. Walkways, bicycle paths, and safe streets will link homes, parks and other community spaces.
A four-acre community center, along with parks and open space will provide a gathering place and opportunities for social interaction.

The Koa Ridge Makai community, located west of the H-2 Freeway between Mililani and Waipio, integrates 3,500 single- and multi-family homes, elementary-, middle- and high-schools, civic and recreational facilities, commercial centers, and healthcare facilities. Pathways, bicycle paths and safe streets will link homes, schools, parks,
and other gathering places. A mixed-use "Main Street" will be the focal point of the community, providing a gathering place and opportunities for social interaction.
